After five long years of being closed, parishioners, family and friends came together on Sunday 7th May 2023 for the Grand Opening of Brampton Abbotts Village Hall. This coincided with the Coronation Celebration of King Charles III.

Thank you for all your good wishes for the success of the Village Hall - we are looking forward to making many more happy memories.

The Village Hall Trustees will be developing plans and specifications for Phase 2 of the refurbishment.

Updates and progress will be posted on the Village Hall website.

Phase 2 (Suggestions)

General:

• Touch-up of internal paintwork (yearly)
• Kick boards on all internal doors

Main Hall:

• New chairs
• Replace locks on two patio doors

Kitchen:

• External fire door & frame (opening out)

Large Storeroom:

• Lockable storage area
• Install suspended ceiling (nice to have, not essential)

Small Storeroom:

• External double fire door & frame (opening out)

Male & Female Toilets:

• Upgrade dated sanitaryware (only when other priorities have been achieved)

External:

• Chemically clean and paint North wall of Hall
• Fill holes in North wall around pipes
• Trimming of North hedge
• Paint lower section of wall all around Hall (Grey)
• Install handrails on entrance ramp
• Supply frost protection cover for outside tap
• Improve accessible access on rear fire exit

External - Longer Term:

• Replace windows & doors 
• Secure play area
• Secure bicycle parking
• Electric vehicle charging point, energy storage
• Solar panels

The Trustees will identify appropriate Grant funders and apply for the grants to complete improvements.
